Ruchir Rodrigues has extensive work experience in various leadership roles across different industries. Currently, they serve as the Chief Client and Commercial Officer at Hargreaves Lansdown since November 2022. Prior to this, Ruchir worked at Barclays, where they held several positions including Divisional Business Head - Connected Commerce & European Consumer Business, Global Head - Digital and Platforms, and Senior MD - Digital (UK) from 2013 to 2020. Ruchir also served as a Board Member at The Institute of Cancer Research starting from October 2020. Ruchir's previous roles include Non Executive Director at Healthwatch England, Non Executive Director at Clearlybusiness, Corporate Vice President - Product Strategy and Development, Vice President - Technology and Operations, and Director of Ebusiness at Verizon, Advisory Council Member - College of Business at The University of Texas at Arlington, and Software Engineering Lead at BroadVision (Silicon Valley). Ruchir started their career as a Senior Software Engineering at GTE. Ruchir Rodrigues received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 1994. Ruchir then pursued a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems and Services from Arizona State University from 1995 to 1997. Ruchir is responsible for developing the business and commercial strategy, managing the roadmap and defining the customer experience for Digital channels, products and propositions across Barclays UK and under his leadership, Barclays has become the largest digital bank in the UK. Ruchir spent over 15-years at Verizon Communications where he held several executive positions. He played a central role in designing and delivering the Emmy award winning FiOS TV service that generated over $6B in revenue and was transformative for the business.
