Max Chee has 20+ years of experience as a private equity and venture capital investor. He leads Aquiline Technology Growth (ATG), which is focused on early and growth stage technology investments related to the financial services industry. ATG has made over 25 investments since inception in 2017.
At Millennium, Max worked closely with transaction partners to provide growth capital, acquisition capital and alternative liquidity. He led Millennium's investments in Spotify, Pinterest, ArcSight (IPO, subsequent sale to HP), Epocrates (IPO, subsequent sale to AthenaHealth), RigNet, Green Dot, Tumblr (acquired by Yahoo), LegalZoom, Pentaho (acquired by Hitachi), Marklogic, Acronis, Bettercloud, ETFS Securities and Jumio, where he served on the Board.
Previously, Max worked for Mellon Ventures, a $1.4 billion private equity partnership sponsored by Mellon Financial Corporation (BONY). Max led technology and business services investments on behalf of Mellon Ventures in the Southeast region.
He currently serves on the Boards of Vericred, Super Home, Inc. and Carpe Data.
Max Chee serves on the Boards of Carpe Data and BitPay. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University in Canada, and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
