About Debbie Kennedy

I’m best known for bringing highly successful protection offerings to the market, creating new customer propositions, and designing for the customer of today and tomorrow. I have a wealth of experience in the life insurance market and have created new protection propositions at AXA, Royal London and Liverpool Victoria. Along the way I’ve honed my craft in underwriting and claims at Swiss Re and as Chief Underwriter for life offices in both the UK and Australia. A relentless focus to improve the customer experience led me to expand my experience in Business Change, Business Architecture, Digital Transformation and Professional Services, all at an executive level with companies such as Capita, MLC Australia and AXA. I’m able to move easily between technology and customer thinking and have a track record of excelling at the execution of big ideas. At LifeSearch I’m proud to lead our innovation in distribution and as a pioneer for new customer journeys; digital, guided and fully advised. I believe distribution is the key to unlocking innovation in our market and attracting new customers to protection. Our purpose is to ’Protect the UK Properly’. It’s a bold claim but one which aligns with my personal drive to deliver great customer outcomes. I use my LinkedIn profile to champion the need for better quality, value and customer outcomes in Distribution and Protection. I want to attract new and younger customers to insurance and challenge the traditional approach to risk selection and product design. Being a woman is probably the least interesting thing about me but I’m a huge advocate for supporting women in building careers in insurance and digital transformation. I hold a Masters in Leadership and specialised in Virtual Leadership (who knew!). I have Board level experience, I’m a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and have experience of private equity funded investment strategies.
