About Binu Girija

Binu Girija is an Indian American entrepreneur. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Way.com, a car super app that provides a range of services including insurance, finance, and other car-related services. Binu Girija was born in Vilakkupara, a village in the Kollam district of Kerala, India, to K. Thamarashan and Baby Girija. His father was a civil engineer employed with the Kerala State Electricity Board. Binu earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from a university in India. After graduation, Binu began his career at Computer Sciences Corporation as an enterprise architect, subsequently moving to BEA Systems and Oracle Corporation. His roles involved designing and managing infrastructure for various systems. Binu Girija launched four startups, two of which were unsuccessful. Binu Girija founded Way.com in 2015. By 2022, the company had achieved the 48th spot on the World's Top 100 Marketplaces list, a ranking of prominent consumer-facing startups and private companies. This list utilizes data from Bloomberg Second Measure, which analyzes purchase transactions to monitor consumer behavior in real-time. Binu Girija has worked in the IT industry since 1998. Binu began their career as a Founder at Sabari Finance Ltd (Family Owned and Operated) in 1998. In 2000, they became a Software Engineer at DSQ Software and UST Global. The following year, they moved to Lattice Gulf as a Sr. Software Engineer. In 2002, they took on the role of an Enterprise Resources Planning Specialist at Computer Sciences Corporation. In 2004, they joined BEA Systems as an Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist - ERP/CRM/SCM Systems. In 2007, they worked as an Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist at Oracle. In 2008, they founded and became the CEO of AUGMENT AUTO INFORMATION SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED. In 2011, they took on the role of VP - Data Analytics and ERP at East West Bank. Finally, in 2016, they became the Founder and CEO of Way.com Inc. Binu Girija attended Bangalore University from 1996 to 2000. In 2000, they received a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from Bangalore University.
