I have focused my career on translating environmental risk into financial terms. I have been motivated by the belief that creating a meaningful price signal on climate risk is key to mobilizing global action on climate change and environmental issues more generally. Over the past two decades I have approached this issue from a range of legal, nonprofit, and multilateral perspectives, always trying to push the organizations I worked with to forge better connections between environmental and capital markets outcomes. At FutureProof, we have built something entirely new that directly addresses the climate price signal. Our climate-smart insurance products will help catalyze the investments in resiliency and adaptation that are so urgently needed.
