VIPR Secures Three-Year Lockton Deal

Lockton Companies LLP has made a three-year commitment to transforming its Delegated Authority operations with VIPR‘s AI-enabled platform, extending the world’s largest DA technology community  to four of the world’s ten largest insurance brokers.

VIPR, the leading AI-enabled technology platform for Delegated Underwriting intelligence, today announces a three-year strategic partnership with Lockton Companies LLP. Lockton, the world’s largest privately held independent insurance broker, has deployed VIPR Intrali, the AI-enabled bordereaux management platform, VIPR Data Cloud, its Delegated Data warehouse infrastructure, and VIPR Insights, the AI-powered reporting analytics across its London Market specialty insurance operations.

The agreement makes VIPR the DA technology platform of choice for four of the world’s ten largest insurance brokers, a milestone that cements VIPR’s position as the market leader for Delegated Authority AI intelligence at the highest levels of the global industry.

As Delegated Authority business continues to expand in scale and complexity across specialty lines, brokers are under increasing pressure to process, validate, and extract intelligence from rapidly growing volumes of bordereaux data. Risk, premium and claims information must be handled quickly, accurately, and be fully auditable while maintaining compliance.

Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of partner contracts, binder configurations, and bordereaux across multiple coverholders demands a platform purpose-built for global DA expansion. For Lockton, a scalable solution was the deciding factor in managing continued growth in its delegated portfolio, including handling the increasing variety, volume, and speed with which data needs to be processed.

In choosing VIPR, Lockton also sought a solution capable of delivering faster, insight-driven support to enhance client service and drive operational improvements.

Lockton’s selection of VIPR followed a comprehensive evaluation of its technology infrastructure and innovation and change management programme. The organisation-wide review assessed both technical capability and the depth of implementation expertise, evaluating not just what the technology could do, but how effectively it could be deployed, embedded, and evolved within Lockton’s business in the long term.

VIPR’s platform is purpose-built for Delegated Underwriting, designed by people who have operated in the DA market, not built around it, and that expertise proved decisive.

Jon Bishop, Chief Operating Officer at Lockton, commented: “Our three-year agreement with VIPR reflects our strategic commitment to improving Lockton’s client service and continued investment in proven, cutting-edge technology to drive operational improvement within our Specialty business.

As Delegated Authority business grows in scale and complexity, managing contracts, binder configurations, and bordereaux across multiple coverholders requires a platform capable of handling the demands of a global operation. This agreement strengthens our ability to process increasing volumes of data faster, more accurately, and with greater transparency, supporting continued growth. Embedding VIPR’s AI-driven technology gives us access to sophisticated real-time insights, which support better decision-making and reinforce our position at the forefront of the London Market.”

“Lockton is the world’s largest independent insurance broker, and their decision to select VIPR reflects a market that has made its verdict clear. We now serve four of the world’s ten largest insurance brokers, and that is not a coincidence. It is the result of building a platform designed for the operational complexity of Delegated Authority from the inside, backed by the largest community of DA technology users in the world. Two AI-first organisations, aligned on the future of DA operations, that is what this partnership represents. Lockton is now part of that community”, added Tony Russell, Chief Revenue Officer, VIPR.

The agreement brings Lockton into the world’s largest network of Delegated Authority technology users. VIPR continues to be the DA technology platform of choice for some of the world’s largest insurance brokers.
