LifeSearch Expands Partnership With Trinity to Support Military Veterans With Private Medical Insurance
LifeSearch, the UK’s leading protection advice specialist, has extended its partnership with specialist military insurer Trinity to provide Private Medical Insurance for veterans and the extended military community.
Launched in 2000, Trinity provides specialist insurance cover for military personnel, veterans, and their families. Serving over 14,000 military customers nationwide, it provides a range of general insurance for individuals – including military kit cover, buildings and contents cover and personal accident cover – as well as cover for military units’ welfare and travel.
In 2024, Trinity partnered with LifeSearch to provide access to tailored protection products and expert advice for the armed forces community. LifeSearch is now expanding its support to include access to specialist private medical insurance advice, giving veterans and their families greater control over their health and wellbeing. Supported by a team of specially trained LifeSearch advisers, Trinity customers will be able to quickly secure cover for their specific needs, online and over-the-phone, from LifeSearch’s extensive range of household-name and specialist insurers.
Working with LifeSearch’s advisers, Trinity has helped over 250 veterans and their families with tailored protection services since the beginning of the partnership. To help educate the veteran community on protection products, Trinity has also worked with LifeSearch to produce dedicated protection guides, which go out to its 10,000 SitRep newsletter subscribers every month. As one of the few specialist insurers serving the Armed Forces, Trinity is committed to delivering expert, affordable cover through trusted partners such as LifeSearch, to give its customers the protection they need, when they need it.
Ed Axon, LifeSearch Chief Growth Officer, comments: “Over the past year, our partnership with Trinity has already helped 250 families with tailored advice that accurately reflects their lifestyles and needs. We’re proud of the impact we’ve made together so far, and we’re excited to deepen our relationship by extending access to private medical insurance. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Trinity to support the Armed Forces community with the expert, human-first protection they deserve.”
Mark Austin, Trinity CEO, comments: “The Armed Forces community is one that can often be underserved by ‘traditional’ financial providers. There are nuances to military life – such as frequent relocations, non-standard employment histories, and unique risks – that can be difficult to communicate to insurers and underwriters. Add to that the close-knit nature of veteran communities, where trust and reputation matter hugely, and it becomes clear why a different, more personalised approach is needed.
“Since partnering with LifeSearch, we’ve been able to cut through the complexity, reach more veterans with greater clarity, and drive stronger engagement with our financial products. Expanding this partnership to include private medical insurance is a natural next step, and one that will help us continue delivering the tailored services this community deserves.”
