Lemonade Expands UK Homeowners Insurance Offering

Lemonade buildings-only insurance has launched in the UK, expanding the company’s Homeowners coverage with a digital-first product developed in partnership with Aviva. Lemonade’s ongoing investment in tailored, AI-powered protection for UK homeowners is reflected in this new product.

Lemonade, the digital insurance company powered by AI and social impact, today announced the expansion of its Homeowners insurance offering in the UK with the launch of a buildings-only product. This marks a continued growth of Lemonade’s presence in the UK insurance market.

Since launching in the UK in October 2022, and following the debut of Homeowners insurance in July 2024, the UK has quickly emerged as one of Lemonade’s fastest growing markets. The addition of a buildings-only cover, developed in continued partnership with Aviva, reinforces Lemonade’s long-term commitment to the region.

“We’re delighted to complete our Homeowners product offering in the UK market” said Sarvesh Ramachandran, Head of UK,  Lemonade. “In record time, Lemonade has become the preferred option for the next generation of insurance buyers in the UK.”

Tailored for UK homeowners, Lemonade’s buildings-only insurance is available via the Lemonade app or online at lemonade.com/uk, with prices starting from  £12 a month. In addition to standard protections such as rebuild costs, temporary accommodation, and owner’s liability, customers can customize their policy with the following add-ons:

  • Home Emergency – Emergency call-out support for issues like broken boilers, burst pipes, faulty locks, or electrical failures.
  • Accidental Damage – Covers unexpected damage to the structure of the home.
  • Legal Protection – Access to legal support for disputes involving the home, employment, or clinical negligence.

With its new Lemonade buildings-only option, the insurer’s easily accessible, tech-driven insurance solutions are further revolutionising home coverage in the UK.
