Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Welcomes Louis Bidmead as Head of Asia and Middle East Transactional Liability Insurance

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) announced today that it has appointed Louis Bidmead as Head of Asia and Middle East Transactional Liability Insurance. In this role, he will work with BHSI’s Global Transaction Liability team to provide BHSI’s comprehensive line of insurance products to manage the risks of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. He will report to Scotland Walsh-Riddle, Head of Administrative and Professional Responsibility, BHSI Asia.

Scotland said: “BHSI continues to expand our transactional liability portfolio in Singapore and across Asia and the Middle East. Louis has an extensive understanding of the complexities of M&A transactions and I am delighted to have him lead our team to provide clients with tailored Created and timely solutions.”

Louis brings 14 years of experience to BHSI. He has worked as an attorney specializing in M&A transactions and corporate counsel at a major law firm, and as a senior underwriter for a global insurance company, providing surety and indemnity insurance solutions. He will be based in Singapore and can be reached at Louis.Bidmead@bhspecialty.com
