Bold Penguin Strengthens Leadership Team

Bold Penguin, the leading digital quote and bind insurance platform, has announced Karnina Szymanski and Nicole Farley in their new roles as Chief Customer Officer and Vice President of Carrier Operations, respectively. Founded in 2016 for insurance agents and by insurance agents, Bold Penguin is leading the charge to make commercial insurance work better for all parties.

Chief Customer Officer, Szymanski, joined Bold Penguin in 2019 as VP of Strategic Partnerships and then later served as President of Insurance, where she developed and executed the strategic vision for insurance carriers and wholesale operations while increasing their utilization of Bold Penguin’s products and services.

In this newly created role, she will oversee relationships with Bold Penguin’s customer base and drive efforts to measure and enhance a seamless and consistent customer experience. “I am thrilled to have this opportunity and bring a voice to the Bold Penguin customer,” said Szymanski. “Our laser focus on the customer will help us continually simplify commercial insurance and in turn give them the tools they need to succeed.”

Before joining Bold Penguin, Szymanski held various leadership roles at Progressive and Farmers Insurance, gaining acquisition experience in Independent Agent, Exclusive, Wholesale and Direct to Consumer distribution channels. She has partnered with industry leaders in commercial lines for over a decade while focusing on improving the process by which small businesses get coverage. 

Farley joined Bold Penguin in March 2022 as part of the Insureon Technology acquisition. In her role, she will focus on streamlining the small commercial quoting experience for agents and small business owners. She will work closely with several large enterprise partners and carriers to develop strategies, partnerships, products, and new experiences for carrier partners that meet mutual strategic objectives. “This is a very exciting time to join the growing Bold Penguin team. We have committed to creating a product suite for our evolving network that streamlines and accelerates the quoting process and to make it the best possible quote and bind platform available,” says Farley, VP of Carrier Operations. “I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together.”

Szymanski holds a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University. Farley holds a Law Degree from William Mitchell, an MBA from the University of Illinois and a bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst University.
