Blink Innovation was founded by Paul Prendergast (CEO) and Peter Bermingham (CTO) in 2016. Blink’s first vertical was a data-driven travel disruption insurance solution, becoming one of the first InsurTech start-ups to focus on travel insurance. Based in Cork, Ireland, the company was acquired in March 2017 by CPPGroup Plc (a UK AIM listed company) one of the early InsurTech acquisitions globally. Blink continues to transform the insurance market through its proprietary insurtech platform, Blink Parametric, enabling the building of innovative solutions for its insurance partners globally. It offers transformative parametric insurance solutions covering climate, energy, utilities, and travel risk, each with a focus on delivering a superior service for clients.
