Before joining Santander, she spent 14 years at American Express, where she helped pioneer digital transformation efforts as VP and General Manager of Online and Mobile, Europe and VP and General Manager and Head of E-Commerce & Digital Distribution and Emerging Payments Services. Sigurdardottir holds a PhD in Leadership and Innovation from Manchester Business School, an MBA from IESE Business School, and a BS degree in Marketing from the University of South Carolina.
