Mark Sugden, Global Head of CitiDirect Commercial Banking Platform & Digital Transformation, responsible for building & launching Citi’s new unified Commercial client platform. Mark Sugden is passionate about delivering exceptional client experience & innovation. Throughout his 20+ years in senior management roles, He has built and led globally diverse teams with a relentless focus on understanding customer needs by engaging with and, above all, listening to clients, bankers and service teams to produce digital-first solutions that are intuitive, effective, and market leading. Reinforcing Mark Sugden’s expertise as a leader is the breadth of experience gained during his career in banking. To date, he has worked with global, cross functional teams across front office, operations, and technology; and covered Institutional, Consumer and Commercial businesses across a variety of products (Cash Management, Trade, Lending, Capital Markets, Fund Services and Custody). His roles and experience have spanned from Digital Transformation and Innovation, through Product Management, Client Delivery, Relationship Management, to Strategy & Planning in Capital Markets, Enterprise Technology, and EMEA Head of O&T and Global Head for Sales Platforms. In his current role, He is relishing the challenge of leading the global initiative to unite products and platform ecosystems within a new one-stop-shop banking platform developed specifically for Citi’s Commercial Bank clients. He started his career with Citi in Dublin and is now located in London.
