About Mark Hazzard

Mark Hazzard, having spent over 18 years delivering change within the financial services industry, he has gained a holistic understanding of the broad and fragmented card payments sector and has also built deep knowledge in subject areas such as payment processing, card acquiring, card issuing, fraud, credit risk, and interchange optimization. His specialism is in delivering card payment solutions that solve real business problems. This experience was achieved across a number of organizations including card issuers, merchant acquirers, payment processors, and specialist start-ups. He is passionate about setting up, running, and recovering programs in addition to forming and leading delivery teams. He likes to think he is able to look at the “big picture” while also being comfortable in the detail—as he has had roles as a developer, business analyst, Tech PM, and Programme Manager. Mark Hazzard, based in Edinburgh, GB, is currently a Co-Founder at Groov. Mark Hazzard brings experience from previous roles at Altior Solutions, Tide, Groov and Natwest. Mark Hazzard holds a Bachelor Of Science in Business @ Trinity College, Dublin.
