Helen Heslop is an experienced Audit Committee Chair in the UK and European financial services sector and currently serves on the Board and is Audit Chair of Aegon UK, Wefox group and LGT Foundation Board. Helen started her career with Price Waterhouse and qualified as a UK chartered accountant before working for QBE, GE Capital and Aviva in senior finance executive roles in Europe and Asia. Helen has a MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge. Independent non-executive director in the UK and France. Helen Heslop, an internationally experienced finance director with over 20 years of experience in sizeable corporations across the globe including executive assignments in Paris, Bangkok, Budapest and Stockholm. Proven leadership qualities through the growth and development phase of a corporation and through transformation, restructuring and run off. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multi stake holders in different cultural settings bringing transparency and developing trust in difficult situations. Excellent communication skills and history of creating and developing cohesive and highly performing teams. Bilingual English-French. Significant experience in Retail Banking, Consumer Finance, Insurance, Transformation, Cost reduction and Restructuring (including French social plan), start-up operations including green-field retail bank, financial process and system re-engineering and organizational redesign. International executive experience in the following locations: France, Italy Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Thailand.
