She is driven by passion, purpose, and creativity. As the Chief Marketing and Digital Officer of Sun Life Hong Kong, she loves what she does. While emerging technology provides opportunities for traditional insurers to modernize and reinvent themselves, it also raises the bar to provide real-time client-centric solutions and services. As a brand, they are here to create value for the community and every individual client. In her current role, Haymans Fung is responsible for the strategy and execution of Brand & Marketing, Client experience design, and Digital Transformation for the company. Her inspiration is to inspire and implement financial inclusion in Hong Kong and the world so that everyone has the financial freedom and protection to be what they want to be.
Haymans Fung started her career in advertising, working 15 hours a day on average for many years, but it was totally worth it. She was fortunate to have managed some of the world’s most powerful brands namely HSBC, Nike, Coke, P&G, Marriott Hotel Group, Loreal, Emirates, Unilever, and eBay. The campaigns that she worked on won numerous local and international marketing awards.
The entrepreneurial spirit in her channeled through opening her own boutique advertising agency, Haymans Fung learned a lot and the biggest lesson was finding the right business partner, being forever hungry, and always being prepared for opportunities. She returned to the corporate world after 3 years of being her own boss.
Haymans Fung is passionate about the insurance industry. She believes in the social value of insurance in society i.e., efficiently protecting individuals and families through innovative risk management techniques, and relieving the burden from the government and providing comfort to individuals by providing safe, effective, and affordable pension savings and converting pension savings into retirement income.
