Gordon Beck, Director in Securitised Products Solutions at Barclays in London, responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of corporate and sustainable asset-backed financing and securitisation for clients across Europe. He specialises in esoteric ABS sectors, including corporate receivables, SMEs, operational leasing, digital infrastructure, and sustainable/climate transition financing opportunities, such as renewable energy/solar ABS and electric vehicles. He also serves as a member of the Barclays Sustainable Finance Leadership Group.
Previously based in New York, he focused on securitisation and warehouse financing origination and execution across RMBS and various esoteric ABS asset classes. His career began in the Risk Solutions Group at Barclays in London, where he provided interest rate and inflation derivative solutions to UK corporate clients.
Gordon Beck embarked on his professional journey in 2013 after spending 11 years at The Kings School in Chester, his hometown, followed by 4 intense years at Cambridge University. There, he earned a Master’s in Finance and Economics, having previously studied Economics as an undergraduate, while also rowing for Gonville & Caius College.
Outside of work, he has a passion for music and sport, including running marathons. He enjoys volunteering, particularly with a focus on supporting disadvantaged young people.
