About Andrew Alcock

Andrew Alcock is a Chartered Accountant, with a background in corporate finance. With close to 20 years in financial services, he is also a Chartered Insurance Broker. He has spent most of his working career thinking, 'Is there a better way of doing things?' This has increasingly taken him away from pure finance into the operational side of life. He is currently the COO of TH March, a Top 100 United Kingdom (UK) insurance broker. Before TH March, he was a key member of the management team that took IT consultancy, Detica Group plc, through a very successful MBO and subsequent IPO on the LSE. He is tremendously excited about the opportunities to harness technology to drive great customer service and grow sales and profits. Over the last 18 months, he has been heavily involved in implementing Oracle 'CX 4 Pillars' platform across TH March. He is also spearheading much of TH March’s digital journey, including B2C website and mobile app development for the company’s B2B sales force. A firm believer that 'life is for living,' he is an avid traveller, and a keen long-distance runner, skier, cyclist, and sailor. A committed—but far from fearless—adrenaline junkie! He was heavily involved in Detica’s management buyout in 1997 and was a key member of the management team that took the company through its successful flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 2002. He qualified with Ernst and Young in 1987 and spent two years with the firm in Australia, before returning to the United Kingdom (UK) and specialising in corporate finance. Andrew Alcock holds a 1981 - 1984 B A (Hons) in Accountancy @ University of Exeter.
