W. R. Berkley Corporation Expands Use of Kalepa’s Underwriting Platform

Kalepa, the leader in underwriting technology, today announced it signed an agreement with an affiliate of W. R. Berkley Corporation, an insurance holding company that is among the largest commercial lines writers in the United States and operates worldwide, expanding their efforts to implement a technology platform designed to enhance underwriting efficiency and accuracy across Berkley’s operating companies.

This agreement follows a successful initial deployment with Admiral Insurance Group, a Berkley Company, which had previously enlisted Kalepa’s platform to support its underwriting processes.

Dan Smyrl, President of Admiral Insurance Group, stated, “Outstanding underwriting is the foundation of Berkley, and Kalepa’s advanced platform brings next-generation technology to drive lasting performance and value.”

“Berkley exemplifies underwriting excellence and a winning culture,” said Paul Monasterio, CEO and Co-Founder of Kalepa. “At Kalepa, our mission is to radically transform underwriting by harnessing the power of cutting-edge AI. We are proud to support leading insurers like Berkley to confidently navigate their most complex underwriting challenges.”
