Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Selects EIS ClaimPulse™

EIS, a leading AI-native core platform provider to the insurance industry, today announced that Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance (TMNF) has deployed ClaimPulse™ as part of its new overseas travel insurance offering. ClaimPulse enhances claims automation by enabling customers to initiate claims digitally and improves downstream claims processing through a self-service, omnichannel experience.

The implementation allows customers to submit First Notice of Loss (FNOL) via a user-friendly digital interface and provide additional information when required. By automating FNOL and structured data capture, TMNF aims to enable customer service teams to focus on more complex cases, while maintaining consistent service levels during periods of increased demand.

“ClaimPulse significantly improves accessibility and convenience at a time when outbound travel from Japan continues to rise and customer expectations for digital services are increasing,” said the Claims Management Department, TMNF. “When it comes to travel insurance, it is critical that customers can engage with our services from anywhere in the world. Therefore, supporting both web and mobile use was a key consideration for us.”

TMNF selected ClaimPulse based on its proven performance and flexibility, ease and speed of implementation. The ability of ClaimPulse to adapt quickly to changing product conditions and operational requirements was a key factor in extending its use to overseas travel insurance.

By introducing a self-service digital FNOL channel, TMNF is strengthening the customer experience while also improving operational resilience during peak travel periods and large-scale events. The current deployment focuses on FNOL, generating structured data that can support and improve downstream claims handling efficiencies. TMNF plans to continue evolving its digital claims capabilities over time as part of its broader modernization strategy.

“ClaimPulse is designed to optimize the claims experience from the very first interaction while providing insurers with structured, actionable data from the outset,” said Mike Dwyer, Chief Technology Officer, EIS. “By enabling digital FNOL for overseas travel insurance, TMNF is improving convenience for customers and creating a more scalable, resilient way to handle fluctuations in claim volumes, without compromising service quality.”
