Sixfold Appoints Tony Rosa as Chief Data & Analytics Officer to Advance Portfolio-Level AI
Insurtech Sixfold today announced the appointment of Tony Rosa as Chief Data & Analytics Officer. Rosa, who previously led the adoption of Sixfold’s platform as a customer, brings 15 years of insurance data and underwriting strategy experience to help scale the company’s AI underwriting brain. The appointment follows Sixfold’s recent $30M Series B led by Brewer Lane with participation from Guidewire.
Rosa’s priority will be to build portfolio-level intelligence that enables underwriters to move from analysing individual submissions to working strategically at the portfolio level: spotting emerging risks, optimizing their book’s composition, and making proactive decisions about where to deploy capacity rather than reacting submission by submission.
“As one of Sixfold’s first customers, I saw how deeply the team embedded with our underwriters to understand what drives effective decision-making,” said Tony Rosa, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Sixfold. “Sixfold started by understanding underwriting, then built AI to support it. Now I’m here to help scale that, building a platform that doesn’t just process submissions faster, but helps carriers grow profitably.”
Prior to joining Sixfold, Rosa served as Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Ignyte Insurance, where he built enterprise analytics frameworks for portfolio management and underwriting decisions. Previously, he held senior analytics roles at NSM Insurance Group, a global specialty insurance programme administrator managing over $2 billion in premiums across 30+ niche markets, where he scaled business intelligence, data warehousing, and underwriting analytics capabilities.
“Years of building AI that underwriters actually use at some of the world’s leading insurers have strengthened our vision for what’s the future of underwriting,” said Brian Moseley, Co-founder and CTO at Sixfold. “Tony will help us accelerate from submission-level insights to portfolio-level intelligence – driving our industry-leading appetite awareness for individual risks to understanding how they fit into each insurer’s broader strategy and portfolio goals.”
Rosa will also assume leadership of Sixfold’s approach to responsible AI governance, helping define best practices as insurers prepare for emerging AI regulation, including the Colorado AI Act and EU AI Act.
The appointment reflects Sixfold’s continued investment in insurance expertise as it scales its AI underwriting platform from 40+ lines of business today to broader coverage across global markets.
