Introducing Crosstie: Gain Life Rebrands to Expand Workflow Automation Across P&C Insurance Operations

Gain Life, a provider of AI-powered workflow automation for property and casualty (P&C) insurance operations, announced it has rebranded as “Crosstie,” a new name that reflects the company’s evolution and long-term vision as an integrated workflow automation platform for insurance operations.

Founded at Harvard University’s Innovation Lab and live with customers since 2020, Crosstie has spent the past several years building and deploying a workflow automation platform that is comprehensive by design, configurable out of the box, and embedded directly into claims and operational workflows. Built to integrate seamlessly with existing core systems, Crosstie’s solutions can be deployed in just weeks with minimal IT resources. The platform combines workflow automation with advanced AI to reduce administrative burden and improve the experience for adjusters, claimants, policyholders, and operations teams.

Today, Crosstie serves carriers, TPAs, self-insured organizations, and claims service partners across the P&C industry, including multiple top-10 TPAs. The company’s roadmap has been defined in close partnership with customers, resulting in a platform built for real-world scale, flexibility, and integration across complex insurance environments.

The rebrand reflects customer feedback and the company’s growing role within P&C insurance operations. Crosstie’s development has been shaped by an advisory board of seasoned insurance leaders, including Danielle Lisenbey, former CEO of Broadspire; Patrick Walsh, former President of Casualty Operations at Sedgwick; and Gary DeGruttola, former CIO of Liberty Mutual US Retail Markets.

“Our advisors are operators who led the types of organizations we serve,” Eldridge added. “Their guidance has been invaluable in ensuring we’re solving real problems with practical, scalable solutions.”

With strong adoption across claims operations today, Crosstie is expanding beyond claims into customer self-service, loss control, underwriting, and broader operational use cases across the insurance lifecycle.

“For a long time, we’ve been focused on building the right foundation alongside our customers,” Eldridge said. “This rebrand is about introducing ourselves more clearly to the broader market and signaling where we’re headed next.”

The rebrand does not affect the company’s leadership team, ownership, or product offerings. Crosstie will begin operating under its new name immediately and can be found online at crosstietech.com.
