Insurtech APOLLO Announces Appointment of Mark Fujita as VP of Partnerships

APOLLO Insurance, a Canadian digital insurance provider and leading innovator in the emerging embedded insurance sector, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mark Fujita to the position of VP of Partnerships. In this role, Fujita will expand APOLLO’s footprint, providing fully digital renters insurance programs to multi-family landlords across Canada.

“We’re excited to have Mark join the APOLLO team, as we accelerate our growth in our partnerships division,” said Jeff McCann, Founder and CEO of APOLLO. “Now that we have built an end to end insurance compliance tool that integrates with existing property management workflows and tools, Mark is joining us at the perfect moment to help solve a real pain point for one of the largest segments of the Canadian economy.”

Most recently, Fujita was VP Business Development at Sonnet Insurance, Canada’s first fully digital home and auto insurance company, where he was responsible for developing and executing on growth strategies designed to acquire, engage, grow, and retain target customers. He developed go to market strategies for new products and services, and identified and negotiated strategic partnerships and ecosystems to drive business value, grow revenue, and build the Sonnet digital brand. Prior to Sonnet, Fujita worked at TD Insurance, Sun Life, Canada Life, and IBM.

“APOLLO is uniquely positioned in the Canadian market,” said Mark Fujita. “With our innovative approach to both technology and insurance, I’m excited to leverage my embedded insurance experience in the property management space.”

Last year, APOLLO partnered with Yardi Systems, the top provider of high-performance software solutions for the real estate industry, to offer an insurance interface embedded into Yardi’s software. The integration allows Canadian tenants and landlords an effortless digital insurance experience.
