Embedded insurance provider Penni.io welcomes SVP of Adform as new international board member
2022 is getting off to a great start for Danish insurtech Penni.io as they introduce the Senior Vice President of adtech Adform, Louise Kloster, to their team. The embedded insurance provider has enlisted Kloster, with her 20 years of international marketing experience, in an effort to expand their client base worldwide.
The new hire represents a guided hand into dealing with foreign markets; as well as Adform, Kloster spent a decade working at Microsoft as the Marketing Director of the European Market and GroupM. She is also a member of the IAB Europe Programmatic Trading Committee. With her expertise dipped in both the tech and marketing sector, Kloster will be fronted to bring Penni.io to an international clientele.
On this new partnership, CEO of Penni.io Jeppe Klausen said, “We were looking for someone who can help us with the marketing part of our growth adventure – and here Louise stood out. She comes with professional weight, and her background in Adform and Microsoft is valuable to us. Her experience in introducing and communicating about technology products in the international market means that we can keep ‘trial and error’ to a minimum. So with her at the table, we believe in global tailwinds.”
Penni.io aims to make online insurance sales more fluid for insurers by providing products that can be fully integrated into the buying process of distributing partners. Through their insurance platform, Penni Connect, the company acts as an intermediary between insurers and end-customers, where the former is able to sell their insurance without altering their underwriting. The end goal is to make purchasing insurance a routine part of online consumer transactions.
Kloster remarked on her new role at Penni.io, “I look forward to bringing my experience into play in a new way and providing input, asking the right questions and hopefully shedding light on blind spots for marketing purposes. There is a big difference in how you talk and sell when you want to enter Germany and the USA. In Germany, you have to give all the details first and then the sales pitch afterwards. In the USA, it is just the opposite.”
The company is currently ranked 8th place on Future50 Europe’s list for Insurtechs and is the only Danish company on the list. Since 2020, its revenue has increased five-fold, and last year it secured EUR 5.7 million in a funding round led by Seed Capital. With the measured eye of Louise Kloster, Penni.io will surely be catapulted onto the world stage in the year to come.
